Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. This role brought her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. In addition, she won two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna observed as her mom Anne took part in plays at church. The passion for performing and theater began at a very teenager.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her home base. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower. It was a comedy that was absurd, starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey started a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling on the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads within its first two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends There. The memoir deals with the relationship between them and how they worked in the production of The Office.
