Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 for the Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just seven years old. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She won the competition in 1970. Her first ever international contest in 1972, she took the top spot by winning three gold awards. In 1975 she was awarded 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. The first female to complete a reverse double salo with the bar with a parallel surface after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career as an entertainment professional during her teenage years in which she was a part of the figure skating duo of her sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional in the entertainment business in her teens. Early on, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows were ice skating events which included stage performances.
